2. Is NAVTEX mandatory?
Yes. NAVTEX is part of the GMDSS system and mandatory for SOLAS-compliant vessels operating in sea areas A1 and A2.
3. What frequencies does NAVTEX use?
NAVTEX commonly uses 518 kHz for international English broadcasts and 490 kHz for national/local language messages.
4. Do I need a paper or paperless NAVTEX?
Both are acceptable. However, newer IMO rules encourage paperless systems with internal memory logging.
5. What are common NAVTEX issues?

6. Can you repair old NAVTEX receivers?
Yes, we repair most major models and can often replace failed components such as print heads or antenna amplifiers.
7. Do you provide NAVTEX antennas?
